California-born Emilie Whelan studied at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University before coming to Cripple Creek in 2006. Emilie has acted in more than a dozen shows in the years since, including roles in Tulane Shakespeare Festival’s Macbeth and The NOLA Project’s sensual original work Taste. In 2010, she was nominated for Best Featured Actress in Little Murders. She has also directed a number of shows and been praised lavishly for her direction of the breakaway hit Madwoman of Chaillot and 2012′s spectacular Lysistrata. Fittingly, Emilie is the Performance Coordinator for the New Orleans Fringe Festival.
