It is the story of a cab driver working long hours for no pay and his wife unable to feed their children, a young scientist asked to abandon his principles in the name of war rofiteering, a couple in love but without the means to marry, a competent and accomplished doctor fired out of intolerance, and a group of workers who are moved to strike until they are afforded justice.
